Gkids Acquires 'Cocoon – One Summer of Girlhood' for U.S. Theatrical Release

Gkids has secured North American rights to the animated wartime drama 'Cocoon – One Summer of Girlhood,' based on Kyo Machiko's manga. The film is set to debut in theaters on September 4. The story follows a group of young girls on a Japanese island during wartime. The film will be shown in both Japanese with English subtitles and an English-dubbed version. Gkids has a history of distributing acclaimed anime titles in North America.
