Synopsis

Petra Winter, the strict headmistress of Berlin's Fröbel-Gymnasium, is known for her harsh treatment of the school administration. Even the friendly janitor, Christian Brenner, finds it difficult to deal with her uptight manner. To undermine the unpopular Ms. Winter, her colleagues arrange for her to substitute as the physical education teacher. Now, the feared principal must take charge of the school's struggling soccer team. What no one realizes is that Petra Winter is a passionate soccer fan. With the help of the janitor, who is interested in the principal, she trains the team for an important match. Over time, the headmistress gradually softens and comes to understand that friendship is more important than discipline.
