25 Hill

An 11-year-old boy, reeling from the loss of his soldier father in Afghanistan, finds solace and renewed purpose in the All-American Soap Box Derby, teaming up with a grieving firefighter father figure to rebuild their lives—and a racing car—one piece at a time.

Some things take faith. Some things take courage. Saving a tradition takes both.

Synopsis

This is the story of an 11-year-old boy whose derby dreams are left in pieces when his soldier father is killed in Afghanistan. The boy teams up with a father figure whose own son, a firefighter, died in the line of duty, and the two help each other find redemption and revive the derby.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 16

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
