Synopsis

93, rue Lauriston, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, is an address associated with a dark chapter of history. It served as the headquarters of the French Gestapo, active from 1941 to 1944 and led by Henri Lafont and Pierre Loutrel, both of whom were wanted criminals. In 1940, Léon Jabinet, who had recently been demobilized, could not have foreseen his future entanglement with such figures. Later, Odile Panzer, a Jewish girl he had been hiding at his parents' home, was arrested by the Gestapo. In exchange for her release, Léon was offered a deal: collaborate with the Carlingue (another name for the French auxiliaries of the Nazi police), or else face the consequences. What should he do?

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 17

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
