A young tax collector falls in love with a ghostly beauty trapped in a cursed temple and teams up with a Daoist swordsman to battle supernatural forces and save her soul before hell claims them both.

Synopsis
A young and inexperienced tax collector working for the imperial government ends up spending the night in a haunted temple. There, he falls in love with a beautiful woman who is, unfortunately, already dead. With the help of a powerful Daoist swordsman, he must battle undead hordes, overcome a sinister tree demoness, and descend into the pits of hell to fight for the spirit he loves.
