Synopsis
A wealthy tycoon, acting on impulse, attempts to monopolize the global wheat market. His actions cause the price of bread to double, pushing grain producers into reliance on charity and pushing others deeper into poverty. The film highlights the contrast between the lives of those who cultivate the wheat and the life of the man who profits from its trade.
