A Fragile Bond
Synopsis
Mina was adopted from Ethiopia by Judith and Lionel, a married couple who already had a biological daughter. Although she was abandoned by her mother as an infant, it initially did not seem to affect her much. However, when Mina turns thirteen, she begins experiencing an identity crisis, feeling caught between two worlds and out of place in both. She becomes emotionally unstable and enters a destructive downward spiral. Feeling jealous of her non-adopted sister, Mina starts acting out, creating tension between her parents and causing division within the family. Judith and Lionel struggle to understand and manage the situation. Will their parental love and kindness be enough to help Mina heal?
