Synopsis
On the eve of the admissions cycle for New York City kindergartens, Alex and Greg Wheeler hope to secure a place for their four‑year‑old son Jake. The director of Jake’s preschool advises them to highlight his gender‑expansive behavior in order to make him stand out. As Alex and Greg navigate their parental roles, a growing rift forces each of them to confront their concerns about what is best for Jake and for one another.
