Synopsis
Jonathan Corliss, a college student driven by a desire for wealth, begins a secret relationship with Dorothy Carlsson in hopes of gaining the favor of her affluent father. When Dorothy reveals she is pregnant and warns that her father will disinherit her if he discovers the truth, Jonathan kills her and arranges the scene to look like a suicide. As he moves to secure a position within Mr. Carlsson's business, Dorothy's twin sister, Ellen, begins to investigate the circumstances of what appears to be a self-inflicted death.
