A Northern Story of Valor
Synopsis
Chanthu, a poor orphan, and Aromal are cousins belonging to the Chekavar clan, a warrior group that offers its services as duelists to resolve conflicts among the wealthy and influential. Aromal, envious of Chanthu's greater skill, mistreats him, prompting Chanthu to leave and seek refuge with Aringodar, a rival Chekavar, as his apprentice. When two sons of a local landlord engage in a property dispute and hire Aromal and Aringodar to settle it through a duel, Chanthu must choose between his allegiance to his uncle, who raised him, and Aringodar, who gave him shelter and training.
