Synopsis

Liam Bradley (Dylan Bruce), a romance novelist who has achieved significant success with three books published under the pen name Gabriel August, remains a mystery to his many readers. His first book was written as a means of coping after a failed relationship, and over time, he has grown disillusioned with writing romantic fantasy. This sentiment is noticed by Sophie Atkinson (Amy Acker), a kind but straightforward book reviewer, whom he meets by chance on a flight. The two begin a tentative relationship in Sophie’s hometown of Portland, Oregon, where Liam has traveled to find inspiration for his next novel. Liam's agent pressures him to fulfill a long-planned announcement revealing the true identity behind Gabriel August, but Sophie is unaware of his public persona. As Liam delays telling her the truth, the situation becomes increasingly complicated. The question remains whether their relationship can endure once his secret is revealed.
