Synopsis
The true story of *Romper Room* host "Miss Sherri" Finkbine centers on the controversy that arose in the early 1960s when it was revealed that she had taken thalidomide during her pregnancy. After the drug was linked to severe birth defects, Finkbine became a focal point of public and political debate due to her decision to seek an abortion, which was illegal in the United States at the time. Her case drew widespread media attention and highlighted the growing controversy surrounding reproductive rights in the era.
