A Summer in Southern France

After the death of his uncle Olivier, the estate—comprising a small chateau in Provence and the town's only funeral home located in its cellar—is jointly and equally inherited by Olivier's local stepson, André Vidal, who has been managing the business since Olivier's ill health led to his semi-retirement, and his German cousin, Charlotte, a business consultant. Charlotte arrives from Frankfurt with the goal of selling the estate, which has become highly desirable due to the rising demand for idyllic properties in the hospitality industry. André, however, is determined to preserve the town's social fabric and the legacy of his uncle, especially since Charlotte appears to have no memory of their childhood friendship. As the situation unfolds, it becomes clear that unpaid back taxes pose a serious threat to the estate, and Charlotte secretly plans to use this as leverage. Despite her initial focus on business, Charlotte gradually finds herself drawn to André and the charming, lavender-scented rural lifestyle.
