A Tale of Three Sisters
Synopsis
In the 1980s, three sisters—Reyhan, Nurhan and Havva—live in a stagnant, gloomy village. They are sent to town as “besleme,” meaning foster children and maids. After each fails with her foster family for different reasons, they return to their father's house in the impoverished village, where they cling to one another despite the loss of their hopes for a better life.
