Synopsis
*A Way Out of the Wilderness* is a 1968 American short documentary film produced by Dan E. Weisburd. The film describes and illustrates efforts by the Plymouth State Home and Training School in Northville, Michigan, to integrate mentally impaired children into mainstream society. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.
