A Wizard Called Rye
Synopsis
A story follows a young boy whose determination to combat human vices proves stronger than the power of hell itself. Apolena, a skilled herbalist, discovers an abandoned newborn in a rye field and names him Rye, raising him into a courageous young man. Rye is recruited into the king's army, where the king's wicked advisor, Prince Neklan, tasks him with collecting taxes from the people. Through this experience, Rye witnesses firsthand the cruelty and injustice of power and decides to resist it. His sense of justice, zest for life, and wit captivate Princess Adelka, but also draw the attention of the devil Philistine, who seeks to drag him to hell. Philistine disguises herself as the alluring Marquise and attempts to seduce Rye with the promises of wealth and fame that come with embracing evil. However, Rye remains unmoved. Now, in addition to Prince Neklan, who is also vying for Adelka's affection, Rye must also contend with the forces of hell itself.
