Synopsis
Megan Carter is a journalist who is misled into publishing a false story about Michael Gallagher, a man suspected of racketeering. Gallagher claims an alibi for the time the crime is said to have occurred, but it implicates an innocent person. After Gallagher reveals the truth to Carter and the newspaper runs the corrected story, tragic consequences unfold, compelling Carter to confront the weight of her professional responsibilities when she comes face to face with Gallagher.

Cinemas keep roughly half of every ticket sold, and a wide release’s marketing often costs about as much again as the film — so a movie needs to gross around 2.5× its production budget just to break even theatrically.
