Synopsis
The musical adapts Colin MacInnes’s novel set in late‑1950s London. Nineteen‑year‑old photographer Colin falls hopelessly in love with model Crepe Suzette, whose relationships are tied to her advancement in the fashion industry. To pursue success, Colin becomes involved with a pop promoter and attempts to break into the big time. At the same time, racial tension rises within Colin’s Notting Hill housing estate.
