Synopsis
This stop-motion animation offered Vorkapich an opportunity to demonstrate complex perceptual theories related to the persistence of vision and the phi phenomenon. The movement of objects in front of the camera—somewhat similar to Oskar Fischinger’s abstractions—illustrates various visual sensations playfully executed by Vorkapich.
