Synopsis

*After the Ball* is a retail-themed fairy tale set in the world of fashion. The story follows Kate, an aspiring designer whose dream is to work for prestigious couturier houses. Despite her talent, she struggles to find employment, as potential employers are wary of hiring the daughter of Lee Kassell, a retail magnate who sells clothing "inspired" by the very designers Kate admires. Suspecting she might be a spy, the fashion world keeps her at arm's length. Reluctantly, Kate joins her father's business, where she must contend with her manipulative stepmother and two deceitful stepsisters. With the support of a charming coworker in the shoe department, her godmother's vintage wardrobe, and a surprising identity swap, Kate uncovers the truth behind the trio's schemes, saves her father's company, and demonstrates that anyone can wear a fabulous dress.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 26

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
