After the Storm
A struggling writer reunites with his estranged wife and son at his mother's home during a typhoon, forcing the fractured family to confront their painful past and uncertain future.
Synopsis
Ryota is a writer who has not achieved widespread popularity, despite having won a literary award 15 years ago. He now works as a private detective. Ryota is divorced from his former wife, Kyoko, and shares an 11-year-old son named Shingo with her. His mother, Yoshiko, lives alone in her apartment. One day, Ryota, Kyoko, and Shingo meet at Yoshiko's apartment. A typhoon passes through the area, forcing the family to remain there for the night.
