Synopsis
Age of the Dragons adapts Herman Melville’s novel Moby Dick, placing the story in a medieval realm where Captain Ahab and his crew hunt dragons for the vitriol that powers their world. Harpooner Ishmael, described as charismatic, and his friend Queequeg join the expedition. Ahab’s adopted daughter Rachel, portrayed as both beautiful and tough, operates the hunting vessel. Ahab is driven by an obsession to avenge a great White Dragon that killed members of his family when he was young, leaving him scarred and mauled, which pushes the crew deeper into darkness. In the White Dragon’s lair Ahab’s secrets are revealed, and Rachel must decide whether to continue following him on his dark quest or escape to a new life with Ishmael.
