Synopsis

Pepe Le Moko is a notorious thief who escaped from France and has since taken refuge in the Casbah of Algiers, where he has established himself as a leader. French officials demand his capture, but they are met with resistance from local detectives, led by Inspector Slimane, who are waiting for the right moment to act. At the same time, Pepe meets the attractive Gaby, a development that stirs jealousy in Ines.
