Synopsis
In the summer of 1941, the Finnish army is mobilized along the border with Russia. A platoon commanded by Lieutenant Eero Perkola awaits orders to go on the offensive and receives instructions for a reconnaissance mission through the wilderness surrounding Lake Lieksa to locate possible Russian defensive positions.
