Synopsis
Kurt Gerstein, a member of the Institute for Hygiene of the Waffen-SS, becomes horrified upon learning that a poison gas he helped develop is being used to kill Jews. Motivated by his conscience, Gerstein seeks to raise awareness and joins forces with Riccardo Fontana, a young Jesuit priest, in an attempt to alert the world. However, their appeals go unheeded when they turn to the Vatican.
