America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story

John F. Kennedy Jr. was the son of the 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and first lady Jacqueline Kennedy. Born on November 25, 1960, in New York City, he was the second of three children. After his father's assassination in 1963, he and his siblings were raised by their mother and stepfather, Aristotle Onassis, following their mother's remarriage in 1968. Kennedy Jr. attended prestigious schools, including the Maryvale Preparatory School in New York and the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, before enrolling at Brown University in 1979. He left the university in 1982 without graduating and later earned a law degree from New York University in 1988. He did not pursue a legal career and instead became known for his work in media and publishing. In 1992, he co-founded George magazine, a political and cultural publication named after his father's presidential nickname. He also served as a contributing editor to *George* and later launched *George Journal*, a monthly newsletter. Kennedy Jr. was an active participant in Democratic politics and was considered a potential candidate for public office. He was married to actress Carolyn Bessette from 1996 until his death. On July 16, 1999, he died in a plane crash off the coast of Martha's Vineyard, along with his wife and her sister. The tragedy shocked the nation and marked the end of a prominent political legacy.
