Synopsis
A film adaptation of Emma Straub's novel 'American Fantasy' is in development, with Elisabeth Moss involved in the project. The novel, published by Penguin Random House in April 2026, follows the story of Annie, a recently divorced woman who boards a nostalgia-themed train. The project is being optioned by Moss and Lindsey McManus's Love & Squalor Pictures.
