BiographyDocumentaryFamily

Among B-Boys is a documentary film about a movement in the Hmong American youth demographic who love the Hip Hop art of Bboying or Breakdancing. A new generation of 'Hmong B-Boys' finds themselves not only affected by the ups and downs of the underground dance scene, but also deal with the expectations and reservations of their parents and community towards Breakdancing. By exploring their love of Hip Hop and Bboying, they come to empower themselves through the strengthening of their ideas of history, community and self.
