Synopsis
*An Honest Liar* recounts the remarkable life of James "The Amazing" Randi, a world-renowned magician, escape artist, and critic of deception. The film details Randi's elaborate efforts to expose psychics, faith healers, and frauds, often with a fervor that bordered on the quasi-religious. A skilled deceiver himself, Randi came out as gay at the age of 81. Throughout his career, he created fictional personas, including fake psychics, and even transformed his 25-year partner, Jose Alvarez, into a fraudulent guru named Carlos.
