Arve Rezzle: Mechanized Fairies

Set in 2022, the story takes place in a world where technological advancements have enabled the human nervous system to be seamlessly integrated into external networks through the use of nanomachines. People can leave their physical bodies, housed in water tanks, to navigate cyberspace. A crisis known as the "Early Rapture" occurs when the system becomes overloaded, causing thousands of consciousnesses to be lost within the network. Shiki Mikage, the sister of Remu Mikage, is among those lost. In an attempt to find her, Remu visits her apartment, where he encounters what appears to be Shiki. However, she informs him that she is not his sister and reveals that she has somehow taken over her body.
