At Ease
Synopsis
Kevin, a young Naval Aviator, is killed in action just days before he was to be discharged under the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. When his partner, Tyler, unexpectedly arrives at the funeral, Kevin's father, Bill, learns more about his son than he had anticipated. As they interact, Bill struggles with his own prejudices while Tyler attempts to share the truth about his relationship with Kevin. Tyler soon discovers, however, that the truth carries consequences in a military that does not openly accept gays and lesbians. Their story reflects the experiences of the tens of thousands of brave men and women who fight for freedom, yet remain denied it themselves.
