Atkan Chatkan

The film follows 13‑year‑old Guddu, who works as an assistant at a tea stall after his father, a former musician, becomes a penniless alcoholic and his mother, a singer, abandons the family, leaving him to assume responsibility for his household. Passionate about music, Guddu enjoys observing, listening to, and creating new melodies; during his daily chai deliveries he watches a wedding band rehearse, losing track of time and aspiring to join them. The narrative also depicts other street children who work near Gudda’s stall, and shows how, while wandering the city, they encounter a carnival where an orchestra performs for money, inspiring them to form their own band. The story presents the aspirations of many young children who lack resources but possess a strong desire for music that requires support to develop.
