Au nom du fils

Michel is a welder employed at a shipyard in Brest. After his wife passed away from cancer over a year ago, their 19-year-old son, Etienne, fell into emotional distress and left for Bogota. He has not been in contact for six months, leaving Michel desperate to locate him. With little money, Michel travels to Bogota, where he is mugged on the first day but manages to form a friendship with a Belgian girl who initially helps him reluctantly. She eventually becomes a close companion in his search. In an incredibly short time and following very weak leads, Michel finds his son, who has attempted to build a new life among a white-clad indigenous tribe in a remote location. There is not much more to the story beyond this point.
