Synopsis
Archie Lee Meighan is a struggling cotton gin owner married to Baby Doll, a 19-year-old woman with a youthful, childlike appearance. Her father arranged the marriage for financial gain. As Archie waits for Baby Doll's 20th birthday—the day on which the marriage is expected to be consummated—he faces opposition from his business rival, Silva Vacarro, who attempts to seduce Baby Doll away from him.
