Backanterna
Synopsis
Dionysus, the young wine god, returns to his hometown of Thebes after founding his cult in the East. Accompanied by a group of Bacchantes, he seeks to restore his mother, Semele, who had been disbelieved by her family when she claimed Zeus was the father of her child. Dionysus aims to reveal his divine nature and demand proper worship from the people of Thebes.
