Synopsis
Set in a quiet suburb on the outskirts of Rome, the oppressive heat of summer masks a suffocating sense of isolation. On the surface, the families appear ordinary, but this is deceptive: within homes, courtyards, and gardens, silence conceals the fathers' subtle cruelty, the mothers' passive complicity, and the adults' indifferent neglect. It is the children, however, whose suppressed despair and anger will ultimately erupt, shattering this disturbing illusion and triggering catastrophic repercussions for the entire community.
