Synopsis
Balifilm began as a stage performance, developed from images and sounds gathered by Peter Mettler on the island of Bali in 1990 and 1992. The film's soundtrack features a live recording of eight Gamelan musicians playing the traditional bronze and wooden instruments of Indonesia during the film's projection. Balifilm offers a personal, lyrical portrayal of the creative energy of Balinese culture.
