Bâmiyân
Synopsis
In 632 AD, the Chinese monk Xuanzang encountered the remarkable statues of the Buddha in the Bamiyan Valley of Afghanistan. In 2008, children living in the valley shared the myths and legends surrounding the tragic fate of these statues, which were destroyed by the Taliban in 2001.
