Bare Witness

Professional killer Gav Reed makes a critical error by allowing himself to be recorded on video by Julie Spencer, a prostitute and porn actress who works for Max "Slim" Reuter and who he had previously slept with. The recording occurs as Julie continues her effort to create a documentary for Hollywood about the real nocturnal "eldest business." During the taping, Gav makes an incriminating phone call regarding his attempted murder at a high society campaign party for mayor Garland's rival, Mary Washington. The bullet, however, is intercepted by councilor Frank Constantine, who survives the attack. Gav's client, businessman Ian Hunter—who had also been recorded earlier—orders his girlfriend Marina to shoot Gav, followed by Julie, and later Slim. Police detective Killian, a tough but effective investigator, teams up with Julie's friend Carly Marsh to uncover a deeper web of corrupt connections.
