Barfuß durch Australien

Svenja, a hotel manager, is working to renovate an aging hotel in Australia while also dealing with the challenges of raising her 16-year-old daughter, Kira. Kira has become increasingly defiant, refusing to listen to her mother and engaging in confrontations at school, which further strains their relationship. After a particularly heated argument, Kira decides to run away with Jack, her only friend and an Aboriginal boy. The two set out to find their "special place," a personal retreat of their own. When Svenja realizes Kira is missing, she joins forces with Kalti, Jack's father and a laid-back hotel boat guide who had been recently let go by Svenja. Together, they embark on a perilous journey through the remote and harsh Australian Outback, an unfamiliar and dangerous environment for both Svenja and Kira.
