Synopsis
The film examines the 2005 massacre in Haditha, Iraq, in which 24 civilians—men, women, and children—were allegedly shot by four U.S. Marines in retaliation for the death of a fellow Marine killed by a roadside bomb. It traces the experiences of the Marines from Kilo Company, an Iraqi family affected by the violence, and the insurgents responsible for planting the bomb that triggered the events.
