Begierde - Mord im Zeichen des Zen
Synopsis
One morning, a Japanese monk arrives in a village: he does not speak, has a head injury, and appears to be on the run. Chief Inspector Louise Bonì quickly realizes the young man is in serious danger. However, her supervisor, Bermann, does not believe her—since a previous deadly incident left Bonì psychologically affected and struggling with alcoholism. Despite this, she continues the investigation on her own. The trail leads to a mysterious Zen monastery and a private children's aid organization that facilitates the adoption of Asian children. Soon, Louise begins to suspect something terrible.
