Behind the Sun
Synopsis
In the Brazilian badlands in April 1910, Tonho is given a command by his father: to avenge the death of his older brother. He is aware that committing the act will divide his life into two parts—the twenty years he has already lived and the few days remaining before the other family seeks revenge for their son's death. Torn between upholding his ancestral duty and rebelling against it, as encouraged by his younger brother Pacu, Tonho faces a difficult choice. At this moment, a small traveling circus passes through the vast badlands where Tonho's family resides.
