Synopsis
This is the true story of Australia's underground mine warfare during World War I, a conflict that remains one of the most misunderstood, misrepresented, and enigmatic aspects of the war. It was a covert struggle that took place beneath the Western Front, blending elements of daring engineering, technological innovation, and scientific application. Few people on the surface were aware of the courageous, claustrophobic, and at times brutal efforts undertaken by the tunnellers.
