Bergfried

In the 1980s, an Italian man named Salvatore arrives in a small village in the Alps, telling the locals he is there for a two-week vacation. During his stay, he befriends Frieda, a widow still grieving the loss of her husband, who did not return from the war. He also offers comfort to Romy, a 40-year-old woman whose husband is an alcoholic and confined to a wheelchair. Salvatore even begins a relationship with Erna, a nurse who is forced to live with her father, Stockinger. While Stockinger takes good care of his son, he himself has become bitter over time. What Erna does not know is that Salvatore harbors a dark secret: he has come to the village to seek revenge, as the murderer of his entire family is believed to be living there.
