Bergman Island

Released: April 12, 2006Runtime: 84 min

In 2004, the desolate and mysterious island of Fårö, Sweden, in the Baltic Sea, served as the setting for a reflection by Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman (1918–2007) on his personal and artistic life. The film presents a journey through more than sixty years of his work in film, theater, and television. It is an abridged version of *Ingmar Bergman Complete* (2004), a collection comprising three thematic documentaries: *Bergman and Film*, *Bergman and Theater*, and *Bergman and Fårö Island*.
