Besser als Du

Matthias Pretschke, a by-the-book logopaedist and struggling husband and father, is a man of strict order who is unprepared for the upheaval caused when his wife, Petra, demands a divorce. He has largely neglected Petra, as well as their teenage daughter and son, who longs for his attention. Petra offers him one week to prove he can change. His chances improve when he meets someone unexpected—himself, but cooler. Tom Senger is the name of the twin he never knew he had. While Matthias and Tom are identical in appearance, they are very different. Tom is an actor—arrogant, macho, and broke. Matthias decides to switch roles, hoping Tom can serve as a suitable substitute for the week. "I'm playing you. Only better," Tom says, quickly recognizing what the Pretschke family is missing. As the days pass, it becomes increasingly difficult to tell the two men apart. And perhaps that is not entirely a bad thing.
