Big Manni
Synopsis
In the mid-1980s, things seem to be going well for Manfred Brenner, a regionally successful entrepreneur. Confident in a breakthrough, Brenner founded FlowTex, a company aiming to revolutionize underground pipeline construction through innovative horizontal drilling systems. However, initial success proves difficult to achieve. Eventually, Brenner secures business by relying on non-existent drilling systems and orders, accumulating loans and leasing contracts. Using charm and persuasion, he builds a fraudulent consortium of companies with only a few assistants and a large number of falsified documents, going undetected for a considerable time.
