Blackout Effect
Synopsis
A mid-air collision occurs between a passenger jet and a cargo flight, resulting in the deaths of all individuals on board both aircraft. The lead NTSB investigator, whose girlfriend was among the victims, becomes deeply involved in the case. The air traffic controller involved claims he lost radar contact with the cargo plane just before the collision, citing a sudden "blackout" on his screen. Meanwhile, his superiors and the media attribute the incident to human error. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that the aging air traffic control infrastructure is at risk of failure, particularly during the hectic Thanksgiving travel period.
