Synopsis
The Sacred Triangle explores the origins of Ziggy Stardust, one of the most influential pop stars of the previous century, a theme also addressed in Todd Haynes's film Velvet Goldmine. Structured like a detective story, the documentary examines the impact that Lou Reed and Iggy Pop had on David Bowie's music and stage persona at the time he was on the verge of a breakthrough. The segment on the Velvet Underground alone provides a compelling reason to watch the film.
